The LAURA RECOVERY CENTER has been presenting law enforcement training on the subject of child abduction at the Houston Police Department (HPD) Training Academy for many years. The 8 hour program is a TCLEOSE (Texas Certification of Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education) certfied course and participants receive continuing education hours for taking the course. A 4 hour class for cadets is also presented. The classes which are scheduled by HPD are posted on the LRC calendar.
